Ongoing Psychiatric Care

Ongoing Psychiatric Care at Willow Wellness

At Willow Wellness, we view medication as one component of a comprehensive, individualized approach to mental health care—not the sole focus of treatment. Our philosophy emphasizes intentional and thoughtful prescribing, guided by a whole-person perspective and a commitment to long-term well-being.

We take a measured approach to medication management, with a focus on:

  • Using the lowest effective number of medications whenever possible

  • Maximizing therapeutic benefit while minimizing side effects

  • Regularly reassessing effectiveness, tolerability, and ongoing need

  • Integrating lifestyle factors, coping strategies, and personal goals into care planning

Rather than treating symptoms in isolation, we consider the full picture—including emotional health, physical well-being, daily functioning, and individual preferences—to ensure treatment remains aligned and appropriate over time.

Ongoing Psychiatric Visits

Follow-up visits typically range up to 60 minutes, depending on complexity and individual needs. These appointments may include:

  • Medication monitoring and adjustments

  • Review of symptoms, progress, and treatment goals

  • Supportive therapy or talk-based interventions alongside medication management

  • Collaborative discussion to support insight, skill development, and overall growth

This integrated approach allows care to remain flexible, responsive, and centered on what best supports each individual—beyond medication alone.
