Therapy & Counseling Services

What to Expect When Starting Therapy

At Willow Wellness, therapy begins with a supportive and intentional intake process designed to ensure care is aligned with your needs from the start. After requesting services, a member of our Client Relations Concierge Team will reach out to guide you through the next steps and answer any initial questions

Your concierge will:

  • Take time to understand what brings you to therapy and what you hope to work toward

  • Help determine whether therapy, medication management, or a coordinated combination of both may best support your needs

  • Assist with scheduling your initial appointment(s)

  • Send intake and consent forms electronically

  • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits

  • Partner with you during the consultation call to learn more about you and your needs, and thoughtfully connect you with the provider best aligned to support your care

This process allows care to begin with clarity, intention, and a focus on quality.

Insurance & Financial Information

If you plan to use insurance, our team will verify your benefits prior to your first appointment and review available details related to copays, deductibles, and estimated out-of-pocket costs. Coverage varies by plan, and we aim to provide transparency before care begins.

Individualized, Evidence-Based Therapy

Our licensed LCSW and LICSW therapists provide therapy that is collaborative, respectful, and tailored to each individual. Approaches commonly used include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), psychodynamic therapy, trauma-informed care, and mindfulness-based approaches. Your therapist will work with you to determine the most supportive approach as therapy unfolds.

Coordinated Care When Helpful

With your consent, we take a collaborative approach to care. Your therapist may coordinate with other members of your care team, including Nurse Practitioners within our practice or outside providers, to support continuity and alignment when appropriate.
